Back to the radio
Summary: Signal Live Radio is software that discovers and plays
third-party public internet radio streams that stations (or their authorized stream hosts)
publish on the open internet. It is not an OTA AM/FM broadcast receiver,
not a music download service, and not Spotify or any on-demand music catalog.
Favorites and settings stay on your device. This version has no account and does not sync to the cloud.
We do not sell personal data.
Free listening on Android shows one banner, a full-screen ad on about every second station change, and another about every 10 minutes of play. A full-screen ad does not play twice within 2 minutes. Premium removes both.
Signal Live Radio is for users 13+ and is
not Designed for Families.
1. Who we are
App Factory publishes Signal Live Radio (com.appfactory.staticking). Contact:
support@afserver.dev.
2. What this app is
Signal Live Radio helps you find and listen to publicly listed internet radio streams (for example by ZIP area,
genre, artist, station name, or popular charts). Station metadata and stream URLs come from
public directories such as Radio Browser.
This version shows directory results. A station stays in the list after a network blip. It is removed when the audio format itself fails. Preset genre lists omit commercial relay hosts. Other lists may still mark a relay.
It does not pre-check every stream with a live audio probe before showing the list.
- We do not claim ownership of station audio, logos, names, or programming
- We do not operate AM/FM OTA transmitters
- We do not sell or host a downloadable music library
- Streams may fail, buffer, relocate, or go offline at any time
3. Data we process
- Local vault / settings (primary): stations you open, favorites / Vault presets, recent picks, volume and UI settings — stored on your device
- Search inputs: ZIP codes, city or state names, genre filters, artist or station names you type (used only to find streams)
- Approximate location, only if you tap NEAR: the phone uses coarse location on the device to pick your US state for that search. Radio Browser receives the state name, not the map coordinates. Signal Live Radio does not store that location. Skip NEAR and location is not used
- Alarm: a wake time and the chosen station stay on this device so the phone can start that station
- Playback notification: the station name and current title are shown in the Android notification and on the lock screen while audio is playing
- Account: none in this version. No sign-in and no cloud profile
- Device: local storage / WebView storage for session, consent version, offline vault
- Purchases: optional Premium is billed by Google Play at $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. Google processes the payment. This app stores only whether Premium is active on the device. Freemium playback stops when you leave the app. Premium can keep playing in the background and on the lock screen, and it removes the banner and the full-screen ads
- Ads: free listening on Android shows one Google AdMob banner at the bottom of the screen, a full-screen ad on about every second station change, and another about every 10 minutes you are actually listening. A full-screen ad does not play twice within 2 minutes. It can be closed when Google allows. It does not run when you open the app, while the app is in the background, or during an alarm. Google may receive the Android advertising ID, IP address, ad taps, and diagnostic data for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Premium removes these ads. You can reset the advertising ID in Android settings. Commercials inside a station broadcast are the station's own stream
We do not require a microphone for core radio play. Camera is not used for radio features.
4. How we use data
To play stations you select, remember favorites on this device, and provide support.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Third-party streams & directories
When you play a station, your device connects to a stream operated by that station or its authorized host/CDN.
Those operators may see your IP address and standard network request metadata. Their privacy practices are their own.
Public directory providers (for example Radio Browser) may process search queries needed to list stations.
App Factory does not host the broadcast content and does not sell station audio.
6. Cloud
This version keeps the vault and settings on the device only.
Cloud sign-in is not enabled. A future version that adds accounts will say so here before it collects them.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. App Factory does not run an account server for this version.
When you search, your device contacts public directory services (Radio Browser, and Zippopotam for a ZIP you type).
When you play, the station or its stream host receives the request, including your IP address.
Free listening on Android also contacts Google (AdMob) for that banner and the full-screen ads. Google may receive the advertising ID, IP address, and diagnostics described above. Premium does not request those ads.
8. Retention & deletion
Clear favorites and settings in the app: open LEGAL, then Clear on-device data.
You can also uninstall the app or clear its storage.
Steps are on account-deletion.html. You may also email support.
This version has no cloud account to delete.
9. Children
Signal Live Radio is for users 13 years of age or older (or older where your region requires
a higher digital-consent age). It is not directed to children under 13 and is
not Designed for Families. Internet radio content is third-party and not curated as
a children’s product.
10. Security
In transit: HTTPS when the app shell is hosted. On device: browser/WebView storage.
Radio audio uses the stream’s own transport (often HTTPS or HTTP as published by the station).
11. Ads & analytics
Free listening on Android includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK for one bottom banner, a full-screen ad on about every second station change, and another about every 10 minutes of listening. A full-screen ad does not play twice within 2 minutes.
That SDK can use the Android advertising ID. Premium removes both, and the app does not request them while Premium is on.
There is no separate analytics SDK.
Commercials inside a station broadcast come from that station's stream.
12. Your rights / contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal data.
Use in-app controls or email support@afserver.dev.
